2010 N.K.T.T.A Rules
Trucks
1.
Driver must be weighed
with truck before entering the track area
a.
4200lb truck and driver must not exceed 4250 lb
b.
5500lb 2WD truck and driver must not exceed 5550 lb
c.
6000 lb truck and driver must not exceed 6050 lb
2.
Trucks must be reweighed after exiting the track
a.
When
reweighing if truck is overweight the driver gets one time to pull off
scales and clean mud or dirt from truck. After this one time if they are
still over weight you are DQ but will only receive show up points
3.
If a
truck is illegal during of after pull, truck looses points, position, and
money (Except for weight or out of bounds) for that night.
4.
No military vehicles are allowed
5.
Driver or owner must furnish a hitch no higher than 32 inches from the top
of all hitches (vertical or horizontal) to the ground.
a.
Receiver part of hitch MUST be solid, if clevis is used it can move but
not above 32 inches if pulled up.
b.
Hitch can't be moved in or out once you have started pulling.
c.
Distance from the plate flange on rear end housing to where the hook of
the cable is attached, must not be more than 55 inches for 2WD & 4000lb
trucks and no longer than 60 inches for 6000lb truck
6.
.
Trucks must remain as stock wheel base.
a.
Stock wheel base for the make of manufacturer; must be short or long wheel
base for all 4 WD trucks and engine/ driveline must be in stock location
for all 4WD trucks
b.
2WD
trucks same as A, except must be between short and long wheel base and
engine must be in stock location
c.
Wheel base must be same as manufacturer of frame
7.
Truck in all classes must not have any hanging weights outside of the
body. (Nothing below front frame rails)
a.
All
2WD trucks are not to have any hanging weight outside front of the body
b.
4WD
trucks bumpers must not stick out further then stock bumper, front bumpers
are not to be used as weight, bumpers must not be above head lights, and
no tube type bumpers. (2WD optional- stock)
c.
Weights on 2WD class and 4WD classes must not be behind hitch point
d.
Weight must not be higher then 36” from top of frame
e.
All
weight must be secured. If a weight(s) should fall off while the trucks
are hooked, you will be DQ for that round. If any kind of body part falls
off while in competition, the officers & board members will decide if this
is an unsafe situation any may DQ for that round
8.
All
trucks must have a fire extinguisher
9.
All
trucks must have blow proof blankets or bell housings on the bellhousing.
10.
Tires must be Dakota denfinity or BF Goodrich All- terrain. (No cut tires)
No dual Tires
11.
Rims
must not exceed 16.5”, unless the truck came from the factory with 17”
rims.
12.
2WD
trucks are to have only one transmission and no transfer
case. 4WD trucks are to have only one
transmission and only one transfer case.
13.
All
trucks in 2WD and 4WD classes must not have differentials and /or axles to
exceed the size of 1ton
a.
No
planetary rear ends
14.
All
trucks must have bedsides, with secure cover from rail to rail & from cab
to rear-end or in 4WD bedsides with secure cover over rear U-joint
do not need cover from rail to rail and cab to rear-end and/or a FULL
flatbed (from cab to behind tires and width of cab). If a bed is
questionable then it is to be inspected be officers and board members.
a.
All
trucks must have complete hull of cab as manufacturer.
15.
All
trucks must have some type of spring suspension (at least one) and
blocking is allowed. All trucks must have a safety loop on the rear drive
shaft and all 2WD trucks must have BOTH working rear brakes, other than
driveline brake.
a.
Rear
of spring can be slipper type, must have chain or u-bolt underneath spring
16.
Any
combination of weights, hitches, and/or gas tanks, that is considered to
be unsafe to driver, judges, and /or to general public, will not be
allowed to participate in the contest. No gas tank in cab of truck unless
factory. If battery is 18” or closer to the gas tank, then the battery
must be in an enclosed battery box, (this is for safety)
17. Trucks are NOT to use any fuel accelerant
Event Rules
1.
Only
one (1) driver per one truck per class
2.
During the event, drivers are to watch the start/stop light, when contest
is over and lights have turned red, the competitors are to stop!!
a.
If
one of the drivers should jerk the other driver intentionally that driver
will be DQ for that round (if you are out that night this carries over to
the next round you pull in
b.
No
driver can open door while HOOKED or you will be DQ for that round.
c.
No
trucks can go in reverse when hooked (while light is green)
3.
For
4WD trucks if a tire(s) touches the side white line while hooked when
light is green or red that truck will be DQ for that
round . For 2WD trucks the
truck must NOT land on the white line while the light is green or red- you are DQ for
that round
a.
If
both trucks go out of bounds they will rehook
b.
If
one truck intentionally sends the other truck out of bounds they are DQ
for that round.
4.
If
your tire (pulling or non-pulling) becomes unbeaded inside or out of tire
while hooked you are DQ for that round
a.
If
both trucks blow a tire at the same time there will be a 5 minute
allowance to repair it and they will tug again
5.
Pit
crew can not be on track (Between white lines and only one pit crew member
between lights) after you are hooked or you’ll be DQ for that round
6.
Trucks have two minutes to hook and a one minute rehook. NO JOCKEY!
7.
During your class, truck can NOT leave track unless accompanied by an
officer or board member.
General Rules
1.
If
alcohol is a factory with driver competing, they WILL NOT be able to
compete in that event
2.
ZERO
TOLERANCE! Any competitor (Driver and/or coach) that gets in a heated
argument or fight will be asked to leave that event regardless and told
will not be allowed to be a competitor in the next event (Truck is out
also)
a.
If a
fan from an NKTTA event causes a heated argument, that fan will be asked
to leave that event
3.
If a
NKTTA truck wants to pull in their county only class it is up to that
county.
4.
A truck must be a
member to pull in the championship and have pulled at least 5 pulls as a
member. Also all trucks are to join.
a.
No
changing trucks at the championship pull
5.
Points 1stplace 10; 2nd place 9; 3rd
place 8; 4th place 7; 5th place 6 all other trucks
will receive 5 show up points.
6.
Any
member that sells/ trades their truck will keep their number and points
for the season.
7.
Membership fee is $30 and pays $25 at each pull
8. No firearms at any NKTTA event
